First Impressions of Rome
As my plane touched down at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Rome, the Eternal City, a place where history and modernity seamlessly blend, was my next photographic adventure. Stepping out into the Roman air, I was immediately greeted by a blend of old-world charm and bustling city life. The drive into the city revealed a mosaic of architectural marvels, from ancient ruins to Renaissance palaces, all hinting at the city’s storied past.

No visit to Rome is complete without witnessing the enchanting Trevi Fountain. This Baroque masterpiece is a photographer’s dream, with its intricate sculptures and the mesmerizing flow of water. As I photographed the fountain, I captured the joy of tourists tossing coins into the water, hoping for a return to Rome, and the serene beauty of the fountain illuminated at night.

Crossing into Vatican City, the spiritual and administrative heart of the Roman Catholic Church, I was awestruck by the grandeur of St. Peter’s Basilica.
