Arrival in Trivandrum
As the plane touched down at Trivandrum International Airport, the warm tropical breeze instantly embraced me. Trivandrum, also known as Thiruvananthapuram, is the capital city of Kerala, India. Known for its lush greenery, vibrant culture, and historic landmarks, Trivandrum is a photographer’s paradise. With my camera in hand and excitement bubbling inside me, I was ready to explore and capture the essence of this enchanting city.
The First Impressions: A Blend of Modernity and Tradition
Driving through the city, I was struck by the unique blend of modernity and tradition. High-rise buildings stood alongside centuries-old temples, creating a captivating contrast. The streets were bustling with activity, yet there was a sense of calm and order. The people of Trivandrum, clad in traditional attire and speaking the melodic Malayalam language, welcomed me with warm smiles and friendly nods. The standard of living here seemed comfortable, with a focus on family and community values.

Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Agastya Mala
For the adventure enthusiast in me, a trek to Agastya Mala was a must. This mountain peak, part of the Western Ghats, is revered for its biodiversity and breathtaking views. The trek was challenging, but the reward was worth every step. As I reached the summit, the panoramic view of the lush green forests stretching as far as the eye could see left me awestruck.
